Thank You, Moulamein Bowling Club

Hello, Bowls fans. KJ made it out of post-surgery (ankle reconstruction) to broadcast some bowls. While I have been restricted, I have been hanging out at my local Bowling Clubs, Kerang and Kerang Golf, to learn as much as I can about the art of bowls. I have learnt a lot. Being frustrated with watching anything I could find on TV- the shows, movies, documentaries and live sport that uses remote cameras (the Stanley Cup playoffs, ice hockey)- I am learning ways to improve my broadcasts. After five weeks, I was going insane. Midlands in Ballarat was my last broadcast (April 19). When I felt I could broadcast, Kerang had a week of rain. Bowls was still being played. I just haven’t perfected a way to protect equipment in the rain. I didn’t plan or look at the bowls calendar, thinking 10 weeks from surgery (April 28) I was to do nothing, and nothing.

My first bowling camping experience, and Moulamein put out the red carpet; the food was fantastic at the bowling club, and I was in a food coma on Monday. First broadcast back, a little rusty with no time management skills, with the only negativity coming from the ankle swelling up (yes, I walked too much). Had a great time. The games were fantastic. Still a lot of room for improvement; happy I could broadcast some bowls.
